Upcoming Shows

It's tough to keep this up to date. Many of you used to get an email from me periodically with a lists of shows I might be going to see. Rather than do that, or to facilitate that, I created a calendar in Google (this is new - I used to edit it in Blogspot and that wasn't very good). Please feel free to comment with your intent to go see something, amplifications, additions, etc.

Full schedule (but even this listing is not complete)

Success

The blog being published by one of our partners is, from my viewpoint, a success. Blogger has done well by him, providing a forum, which seems to be building momentum.

Sometimes "simple" is an excellent thing, and Blogger seems to make it simple.

Adding an attachment is a little more difficult for some users, but taking one step at a time, these capabilities together provide the power to publish!

Return of the non-blogger

Ah, I had a second reason to come here. The good lawyer I was helping needed a little help (actually his secretary came for some help). Simple formatting stuff. They seem to be doing fine.

Also, since I originally did this blog and posted that picture of my records, I have added the second wall of records - so now there are two.

Microsoft SharePoint

Greetings! My motives for starting this blog are good. I must feed my family (although we have some decent reserves built up around the waistline!) and I have two kids I am putting through college. But I need to understand the process of setting one of these up so I can help some professionals at my place of employment get started with a blog. So this is work, sort of.

Actually, it would be of little interest for me to further describe the work aspect of creating this blog, so I will pick a topic of personal and professional interest (after all, if work isn't interesting, you don't have a very good job). My work IS very interesting (to me) because I am lucky enough to have been working in the information technology field for the last 17 years or so.

My topic is, my adventures with Microsoft SharePoint.

Since blogs which ramble on about a person's history are incredibly boring, I will pick topics that are hot with me right now, and back fill the history as I see I can.
